Saturday the 5th of November sees the return of the Scottish Piping Society’s Annual Competition to the Kensington Conference Centre. This is the biggest one day Scottish piping event in the world and has been running since 1933. The Great Highland Bagpipe is known throughout the world, and this is reflected in the nature of the competition.
Around 140 of the world’s best pipers will be flying in from Canada, the USA, New Zealand, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy and even Scotland to battle for some of the most prestigious prizes in piping. Anyone who attends will be able to hear the Highland Bagpipe played at it’s very pinnacle.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to hear the world’s best players gathered together in one location.
All those who like the sound of the Highland Bagpipe (and the sight of the kilt!) are welcome.
