On Sunday, my wonderful friend and I went out into the woods around a lake outside the city to walk and she snapped a handful of pics of me. Up until now I have only taken photos of myself using my tripod underneath inside lighting so it's interesting to see some actual outside world photos.

I've got on these dark red wine and dark green scarves on my lower legs as leg-wrappings. My shoe laces are really long and criss-cross around and tie half way up while other shoe laces wind around the tops a few times and tie there ... so I have two ties on each leg. This is how I've been doing things instead of hose socks - it's a bit of a modern version of Anglo-Saxon/Viking leg-windings using what I can readily find

(wityh pipe although not lit - but packed with some "King Charles" tobacco produced on Jersey island)

These next photos are me testing out the idea of a cape/cloak (this is just a cloth I found around so I would want something longer).

In those photos I wrapped second scarf (actually a redder pattern) around each of my knees and tied it there. So my knees aren't visible (perhaps on really cold winter storms I may do this). SO I've got the dark wine coloured ones on and then these redder ones at the knees)

I'm not sure if anyone did such things as wear cloaks/capes (or other large pieces if fabric ... although the great kilt would have covered that purpose) with a kilt or wear even longer leggings but I personally wouldn't be surprised if some people did when things got chilly.

I guess I'm just trying ideas out .... not necessarily in any set modern traditional sense.
