    Thanks a lot!

My wife was fortunate to be nominated and won the honor to carry the olympic torch for the 2012 summer Olympics in London through her company British Airways. She will be carrying the torch from Kingston to Ealing in the UK.

One of her Canadian friends gave her a 1959 (her birthday) bottle of Segram's Crown Royal whiskey as a congratulations gift. The bottle is beautiful! It stills has the paper tax label across the cop of the cork with the date of 1959.

I realize whiskey does not get better in the bottle but I am doing my best NOT break into the bottle. It seems a bottle of whiskey of this age deserves a very special occasion.

    I'm going nuts with anticipation.

Congratulations to your wife. It would be such a thrill to carry the Olympic torch. Sound like the perfect occasion to open that beautiful bottle! Enjoy, and we *must* see some photos of the big day!

    Cheers,

    Jocelyn

Your wife must be thrilled. Congratulations to her! I hope you both have a great time.

We'll, of course, expect a full report on the Kingston to Ealing segment and the condition of the Seagram's Crown Royal (1959), with pictures for substantiation.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
