Being there are quite a number of admirers of both the adventures of the Great Detective and the weird tales from the Old Gentleman of Providence here on our forum I pondered if perhaps there were a select few that enjoyed the two with equal pleasure.
For those few that are well versed in both the worlds of Sherlock Holmes and the Cthulhu Mythos I offer this small online treat courtesy of Neil Gaiman.

The Shadow over Baker Street is a must-own for fans of Doyle and Lovecraft!
Along those lines, another must-read is The List of Seven by Mark Frost - historical fiction with Arthur Conan Doyle as the protagonist - not Lovecraftian, exactly, but it's full of sinister and otherworldly goings-on indeed.

I was out of town yesterday on business, so I printed this story out and read it whilst waiting at the airport.
I loved it! Very entertaining, but WAY too short! I wanted more!
(Oh, and the advertisements were rather humorous as well. My favourite was the one for V. Tepes, professional exsanguinator, from Romania. Gee, do you think his first name might be Vlad? )

Stumbled across that tome a couple months back and love it. A couple feel like a mythos story with Holmesian characters just tacked on, but many of them do a good job of reading like Doyle, Lovecraft, or (best of all) a good combo of both.

I recall reading a bit of Cthulhu years ago, and finding it a bit different, maybe to the tune of disturbing... Much of it reminds me of the visual disturbance the Mathew Barney "Cremaster Cycle" cause me.
I haven't read the piece yet, but plan to tonight... I do love Holmes.
