A funny misquote in a town events flyer
So I got a flyer for events going on in my area and off to the side was this:
"Every man dies. Not every man really lives" quoted by William Wallace
I couldnt help but smile and cringe at the same time. It's pretty cool that Braveheart was quoted BUT also a little annoying that they said Wallace said it and not Mel Gibson.

Not to be a wise *** but it was the screenwriter that wrote it...Mel just said it. Considering some of the stuff that Mel has said - especially after he's been pulled over by the cops after he's had a few - you're giving him more credit than he deserves.
Your catch goes to show that they're always ready to accept stuff that they see in the movies as historical fact. I'm still amazed how much Cleopatra looked like Liz Taylor...

Next thing you know, some ned is going to say Judah Ben Hur wasn't even real.
Of course Mr. Heston parted the red sea. How else do you think Moses got the idea?
Well, I'm off the practice pipes and then watch a few minutes of this documentary I recorded. It's about coyotes ordering things from the Acme company.
I wish I believed in reincarnation. Where's Charles Martel when you need him?
