Have you ever ordered a hand sewn, custom weave, bespoke kilt and weren't even willing to THINK about jonesing for 90 days?
I ordered the kilt through Celtic Croft on about 1/9/12 my wife and Steve worked out the details, it was easy because they still had my measurements from a Locharron kilt that I had previously ordered.
I received a call on Tuesday the 24th. My kilt was in! I just knew there had to be some mistake.
No mistake at all! It seems D.C. Dalgiesh had made the Strachan tartan a production tartan.
So now without further ado I present a 15 oz, hand sewn, D.C. Dalgliesh kilt. (that appears to have been shipped by way of the Concorde)
(My apologies for the quality of the photography... my first spin with a new camera.)
the pleats
the liner
the canvas
apron
the fringe
The fringe photo is the best for color, but none of them really reflect the vibrancy of color. (my wife, Denise, says that the apron shot isn't bad either)
