Stillwater USMC Leatherneck
I just pulled the trigger on a Stillwater USMC Leatherneck Tartan for only $78.50 plus shipping. I was never a Marine but I just love the tartan. with Jerry's fast service I'll be strutting in my new kilt next weekend.

Outstanding! I was thinking of getting one as well. That's one of the wool ones, right?

Re: Stillwater USMC Leatherneck
I received the Black Watch economy in wool last week. I really love it. I like their wool better than the acrylics. The dyes in mine are sort of strange. You can't see the blue unless in direct sunlight or bright fluorescent lighting. I'd imagine after a good cleaning or washing some of the excess dyes will come out. Maybe that will make a difference. I should get a leatherneck tartan soon. After all, I'm a former Leatherneck myself, and I haven't gotten that tartan yet. Some might call that a crime!

Dang you Matty. I've been trying to convince myself that I don't deserve one of those. Besides, if I do get one, then I'll also want some Navy hose, and one of the leather cargo sporrans.

Got the SWK heavy wool saffron shadow tartan in, it is all one soild color with a slightly lighter thread for the tartan pattern it looks 3D but by touch and by edge on sight it is not - neat.
Having a preferance to solid colors all my life, this walks the compromise line and maybe will ease me into full tartans.

Here's hoping you'll post pictures when you get a chance Matty.
