    thistle sweater vest

I really enjoy wearing sweater vests (pullovers), but most of the ones I have are wool. Great during the winter, but often times too warm for other seasons, or even the more mild winter days here. So I asked me wife to knit one for me from cotton, so I could get more wear from it.

She really enjoys knitting Fair Isle, so we looked through some patterns and I picked out this thistle motif. I thought it would be very fitting to wear with my kilts!

I've worn it quite a few times over the past few weeks, but today was the first opportunity we had to take some pictures.

    Re: thistle sweater vest

That's smart to get a sweater vest in cotton instead of wool... even smarter to have married a lady who could make it for you. THCD comes from a wet and cool climate, so adapting fabrics without changing the overall appearance is necessary in other lands, eh?

That is a beautiful sweater. I really like the thistle motif and the color combination - perfect with the hose, too.

    Great looking outfit, as well.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
