Tell me about the leather sheath. I'm looking for something better than the cardboard leather sheaths that came with my two "Navajo" sgian dubhs. Did you make them too? Hand sew? Take them to a leather sewer place?

    Thanks

Blade is from Atlanta cutlery. Antler is from a poor tastey young buck that happened to get too close during hunting season. The sheath is from a piece of 10oz leather that I had and hand stiched. The stiching is a artificial sinew.

Blades (dirks, sgain dubh etc) aren't high on my list of kilt accessory priorities BUT, that is a very nice job. Excellent work -- enjoy it -- and the praise you are likely to get for making it

That is really nice! How about that nice piece in the end of the handle? What is that? Did you cast it? Beautiful.

that is nice...I have a cheapo now but would like a nice one with antler such as that and maybe a reference to my primitive bowhunting I love so dearly.

if you ever want a hobby project....i would love to give you something to do next winter.

just wish I had those skills myself.....but alas cant have great personality, rugged good looks and be truly gifted as a craftsman. 2 out of 3 not bad.....
