Ultimate compliment
I was at Costco today in a UK workman (I admit, not my best looking kilt anymore) and saw an older woman attempting to load a few cases of soda into her cart. I assisted her and she thanked me and I pretty much forgot about it.
I then ran into her in the parking lot and this time got the sodas into her trunk for her. She gave me a rather wonderful smile and said, "you can always tell a gentleman by his kilt."
Does it get any better?

Even if you've endured a full day of snarky crap about your kilt, one moment like that can negate them all. And thank you for stepping up and helping her. Kilted or not, I like knowing there are gents like you out there!

I'll second that.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

I would argue that one can always tell a gentleman by his actions, while a guy's kilt just tells us that he has excellent taste in clothes
