Old Claude van Damme movie, and...

"Lionheart"...1990.. actually a pretty awful movie, but the third or fourth guy he fights is wearing a kilt. Lots of "swish" going on. Guess who wins?

Dead Poets Society features a kilted piper as a sidelight in several scenes.

Oh gawd, not that horrible movie...

I do love Dead Poet's Society, fantastic film! And the piper plays "Fields of Athenry" which hadn't come out at the time in the movie! lol

Dude, I forgot allll about that movie and that scene. I even think I have it up on my shelf somewhere in VHS buried up there....somewhere.....now I'm gonna have to dig it out and watch that scene again. Just gotta find it....................

That was a cool scene actually with the cars all pointing inwards making a makeshift fighting arena. That's how I remember it anyway. Gotta find it.

Lionheart is one of those movies so terrible it became a classic.

Wow, that kilt looks a bit long. Maybe it's the angle.
In fanfiction, there's a term for stories which are basically just an excuse to write a story-long description of characters boinking one another senseless: PWP, or Porn Without Plot (aka Plot, What Plot?). I think a lot of Van Damme's movies were like this, only with 'porn' replaced by 'fight'. It's a sort of sub-sub-genre of the big dumb action movie.

Doesn't he fight another kiltie in Bloodsport also? He finishes the fight with a split and a punch you can guess where.
    Very original........

then again, because of this guy, I could do the split between two stools.....

I think that was "The Quest" with Van Damme and Roger Moore...An equally s#!++y movie.

The question kind of lingers of why one would want to do that (I just always imagine one of the stools being suddenly kicked away... ouchy!) - but the fact does remain that Van Damme had/has buttocks of tempered steel and enviable flexibility.

    *Ahem.*

It was always my secret ambition to be Mr Van Damme's "butt double"... not so secret now!
