I have long been a 'do it yourselfer' so whenever I have the spare time to make a few things myself I always give it a go, if it is a failure so be it, but at least I tried right?

Here are my first pair of Grosgrain flashes:

I started this project with some velcro, a spool of Grosgrain ribbon, and some lite steam a seam 2.

I measured out 11 inch strips of ribbon, used a business card as the guide for the v-cuts on each end , dabbed on some fray check along the cuts and folded over almost on top of each other, ironed the crease down.

I used the steam a seam to make the pocket for the velcro as well as to add a bit of stiffness by running it about 2 inches down from the pocket.

simple and I think they look pretty ok for my skill level so far...
