It would have been quite a long way to travel from here so the Renfaire at Traquair won the day for us last weekend.
I guess with the collapse of so many of Scotland's games this season I will be travelling further afield if I want to see some games in the home country. The Innerleithen Pipe Band Championships on 16th June, North Berwick Games on 4th August, the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow on 11th August and the Peebles Highland Games on 9th September are all in my diary to attend unless something unforeseen crops up. Maybe see you at some of those.

Looks like great weather you had there!
I'm really looking forward to Jock's first photo installment on how to "Jock" that..err...bonnet he's wearing

Yes I was there! I was the woman in the kilt and sunglasses out in the arena throwing stupidly heavy things about with the giant blokes in kilts. All under the blazing sun. Great day!
Will you be attending any other Games?

Well as I recall, it was some fity years ago when it was new, the first thing I did was sit on it. After that, all kinds of misuse has befallen it, none of which was intentional ,or, particularly helpful to the overall look.

Wonderful photo, Jock! It appears that you had equally splendid weather too! I have attended the Atholl Gathering and Games several times (a couple of wet ones) and have always had a superb time. Fantastic cromachs.
Best wishes,

I was going to mention the cromachs, as well. I really like the 'nose' on Jock's.
The other thing is the background - a great sea of 'tartanlessness'!

Nice to know that there's now a precedent set for a panama with a kilt. Our Highland Games is in June and is invariably hot and sunny...two things that I don't deal with well. I'll be taking my panama with me and my neck and the backs of my ears will be grateful.

ANOTHER KILTED LEBOWSKI AND...HEY, CAREFUL, MAN, THERE'S A BEVERAGE HERE!

Also, their belts and sporrans are from McRostie's of Glasgow - this is where I purchase my plain (bridle) leather daywear sporrans, straps, and if I wore a belt, I would buy a belt from them too.
Again...well done lads,
