Formal Accessories
I've just about got all I need for formal wear now but I still need to find a good source for a shiny belt buckle (to go with my excellent belt and my Montrose doublet) and I'd like to find a sporran chain (only for formal wear) as well.
Does anyone have any good sources for these items, please? I've been looking around the interwebs, but have difficulties finding anything I like without going to a silversmith and paying a kings ransom to go bespoke.
Thanks.

All depends on what you mean by a "king's ransom."

Kinloch-Anderson of Leith, Scotland may have what you are looking for, or L&M Highland Outfitters of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. If you ever feel like going the bespoke, hallmarked silver route, Ian Grant of Edinburgh would be my first suggestion.

I opted for the antiqued silver versus the high shine finish, but this may give you an idea of a finished product.
I remember their sporran chains were really very good looking. They would make a fine addition to your formal kit.
