Yesterday was the annual church fayre which is held in the church hall where we hold our monthly folk club. The weather was good so extra stalls were put under gazeebos outside. Towards the end of the fayre when we started packing up I had to retrun a few chairs etc to the room under the stage .. to access this room you have to go out of the building and around the back of the hall to its own seperate door. As was walking around there were two Police officers (1 male 1 female) out on foot patrol. They were having a cuppa with a buch of people around the garden n plants stall. The female officer spots me and smiles and says 'I see you have dressed for the occassion' ... 'Not really' I said , ' I normally dress this way ... ask that lot' pointing to the gang they were with ... she smiled. On other trip with more chairs about 10 mins later they were still there chatting and the female police officer just pointed at my cilt with a lovely smile and said 'I think its fantastic'. That was it. I just smiled back. No doubt the people they were talking too explained .. hey that guy always wears a cilt its nothing new around these parts.
Enough rambling from me, just thought I would post it up ..
Incidentally the fayre raised £1200 .. yay
