My Scotweb Experience - a Kilted First!
My kilt package (Argyll w/"Balmoral" tank) arrived this morning by Fedex, and after opening the package, combing through the contents and trying it all on I have to say that everything has blown my expectations out of the water. Nick and the Team, I commend you highly for the amazing package that I received.
Everything is top-notch quality, from the off-the-rack items such as shirt and hose right to the handiwork on the kilt. Everything has a feel of it being "especially mine" and fits like a glove.
The arrival date fell exactly in between the earliest and latest dispatch dates, which deserves a tip of the hat as well. The only issue I experienced was having to visit a relative for a few days once the package arrived at customs since the independent courier did not take a PO box address.
The kilts itself is incredible. From the moment I saw it in the top of the package it gave off the sense of nothing but a high-quality tailored custom garment. The pleat to the stripe is exactly as I envisioned it and had I not seen a number of threads on XMTS about belt loops (and learnt of their existence) I never would have noticed them.
Pictures are sure to follow in other threads here and in reviews on the Scotweb site, but I feel compelled to say it in the dedicated forum here: I am thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning in the future!

Macca ,
Congratulations on your new kilt package !
Recently recieved my own 8 yd Balmoral tank from Nick at Scotweb and I agree with you , the quality and the fit was superb as well as meeting their delivery schedule .
I have to say I was very impressed ! . The pleating , the attention to detail and the most important part , the quality under the back lining above the pleats . This area had all the quality elements , sewn down pleats , stabilizer , heavy transition panel and the lining was first rate .
I have discovered there are many great vendors and kiltmakers here at XMarks . I am somewhat new to the XMarks site but have been kilted for years and am thoroughly impressed . I used to buy items back in the 70s from Jack Ironside at the Scottish Shopper out of Seattle ( for all you old timers )
Once again , congrats on your new kilt and the whole package , looking forward to pics !
Mike
