need some Gaelic phrases

I have a good friend who is looking to get a tattoo of crossed pistols along with the words:
....always the sheepdog...or...Always be the sheepdog.

Anybody out there able to provide these phrases??

My gaelic doesn't go much beyond hi, how are you, etc., but make sure you get it translated into the right dialect. Irish and Scots gaelic are not exactly the same.
