black watch "coarse kilt" / philabeg work detail tartan & Flower of Scotland
tripped over ..pre 1788 looks like flower of scotland or Morrison with extra red stripe .
I heard Black Watch early Col. gave his tartan for phila beg ..if he was Murray Lord George's son ..well here's it but difft than modern Murray Atholl . Neat kilt .
somehwere way back some detail says Black Watch was a Sutherland tartan in early Regimental notes and most records sunk coming over from US after Revolution ??
crazier ..I think a plaid/kilt (tartan) was unearthed maybe at Roger's Island Ft Edward NY island or mainland ..
in the USA French Indian War reenactors an old kick is black watch grenadiers with red stripe ..there are paintings of this of period ..there's yer sanny !
even better finally got EBAY.UK flower of scotland kilt used form a UK Ebay site ..now to wire it up .
I'd tae swap somethin neat for it 'n'a ..
