    New Pennsylvania Tartan Casual Pics

Okay...finally ripped it from the hands of the local post office yesterday morning. Was already kilted up for the day so wore it for the first time today. By the time I got home was losing good light but the flash came on. Colors seem true on my monitor.

Here's the pleat shot - but to be fair I sat on those pleats for at least eight hours today before this pic was taken.

It is a beautiful tartan. I've pretty much traveled most of Pennsylvania back in the 60s, but bought this to honor my Pennsylvania ancestors and because it is a beautiful tartan.

Glad you managed to finally wrestle the kilt from the hands of the evil empire. Looks great! Congrats!

I read your post about the "Jobsworth" at the Post Office. Glad you eventually got the Kilt. Nice!

    That looks great.

I just returned from Harrisburg, while wearing mine. Everyone askd the tartan name. None ever knew there is a Pennsylvania tartan. I keep sending them to Rocky. I hope he can keep it supplied.

That is a good looking tartan Ron. I usually don't like small setts--too "busy"--but this one works. Nice choice!

Kind of deceiving. May look like a small sett but its actually 8" x 8"

You'll scratch your head a while looking at it to pick out the sett.

Dang. You got me on that one! You're right. I didn't catch it, but its twice as big as I first thought! Didn't notice that the yellow stripes alternate between singles and doubles. The inversion is subtle. The red stripe helps hide it too. It might be time for an eye appointment...or sleep.
