Cream shirt?
Hello, I'm getting married next year and I'll be wearing a kilt. My bride to be will be wearing an ivory (cream) dress. I was wondering if a white shirt might look a little wrong next to it, and I was wondering if anyone had worn a cream shirt with a kilt? Or if it would look bad/wrong?

Nothing wrong with a cream shirt. I can tell you though, from personal experience, that a white shirt works fine well when worn alonside a cream wedding dress.

Cotton might work better. Cream tends to puddle.
I think you'll find, looking at the pictures posted on the forum, that virtually any color will work with a kilt. Heck, I went to dinner the other night with a gentleman wearing a PINK shirt with his kilt! Holy cow!

I'm not a huge fan of white or off-white shirts (they just seem boring!), but if I had to choose between the two, I would actually prefer cream. No worries, it'll look fine with the kilt.
That said, it may depend on what else you're wearing. Are you planning on wearing an Argyll jacket with this, or a full Prince Charlie with bowtie? Usually a white shirt is expected with a PC, but would be more 'at home' with an Argyll. Either way, though, I don't think there would be anything "wrong" with a cream shirt.

Since you are the groom, I would recommend wearing a crisp, white shirt. Especially if you are planning to wear a black Highland doublet or coatee of some sort. Even if you plan to wear a tweed 'Argyll' style jacket, which is perfectly acceptable for a groom to wear at his wedding, a smart, white shirt (for this rather important and special day in your life) is quite fitting.
Cheers,
