Another new one on me ...
Since the schools have started back from the summer break, I have taken on more music lessons, which is great because the extra money all helps.
Yesterday a young girl came along accompanied by her mother and grandmother. It was her first Guitar lesson. Only at the end of the lesson did the mother and grandmother comment on my Cilt ... saying that they thought it was great that I wear one, and then finished off with 'and what a wonderful hobby that must be'.
I just smiled and nodded n took the money they were handing to me for the lesson. Still, they are coming again same time next week. I shall wear my Grey Spirit cilt next week n see if that brings any further or interesting comments.

Maybe the lady has a point. Many of us collect them and the various bits and bobs to go with them, we discuss them with fellow enthusiasts and newcomers on this website and others, meet at gatherings and the like etc. It consumes more of our time than just selecting what to wear each day.
A man should have a hobby.

A hobby, like eating, or breathing, or drinking, or whatever ...
Yes it is a wonderful hobby.

So, if you obsessed too much over your Highland fashion, would that make you a hobby horse?

SANX. got coffee on my screen now!
Being a member several guitar forums I can see lots of common ground. There they call it Guitar Acquisition Syndrome. The syndrome is not just limited to guitars, but includes all bits & bobbles.
My name is Craig & I beat my GAS, but now I have KAS!

I suspect it's more like a haiku.
