Kilt tailor needed
My MacKintosh Hunting is now too big, and I need the straps and buckles moved a bit. I am not skilled in this type of thing, so I want to send it out. Does anyone know of a tailor, or kilt maker in Boston/Massachusetts/ New England who I can bring the kilt to? Or, is this the type of a project that any decent tailor should be able to handle?
Thanks.

Try a PM to TartanTess or Patti here on Xmarks.
You can also contact kiltmaker Judith Sullivan through her blog:

If they're not as close by as you might wish, I believe that they cover Maine, Vermont and NH, they'll be able to suggest someone for you.

I don't think I'd bring it to a person who does not do kilts. Tess is a little North of Portland, Maine. Patti is in Springfield VT. I don't know where Judith Sullivan is. Barbara Tewksbury is in the NY capitol district, I think. Heather Greene is in Mahopac NY. Any of them should be able to do it. Mahopac is by Danbury CT.

I actually just signed up --I am in NH, and have been making kilts for about 15 years. Check my blog for more information--kiltmakernh.blogspot.com

Thank you for all the suggestions. As fate would have it, I found the contact info of the woman who made my kilt, and sent her an e-mail. Though she has closed her shop, she is still making kilts out of her house, and will do the alteration for me. I'll be delivering the kilt to her later this week.
Again, thanks for the suggestions.
