Kilts at Harry Potter's movie?
My wife is a big HP's fan, so she is trying to make me watch all the movies
This past friday was time for the Goblet of Fire, I dont know if all of you guys know this movie, but I never saw it before.
There are two othe wizards schools that are invited to HP's school, a "belgium-german" style school and a "french" style school with pretty girls, the goblet chooses the best wizards from each school that will participate in some kind of wizards games.
Before the games the will be a Ball, where guys invite girls to dance and bla bla bla.
I want to ask all of you guys if it was my imagination but I saw a Kilted guy in that movie at the Ball, one of the proffesors is called Hagrid, and I clearly saw him seated in a Kilt, but I wanted to rewind that I my wife didnt left me do that.
Is there a HP fan over here that can confirm or denny that fact?
Cheers

I think you are mistaken. Hagrid was wearing his dress robes. You can clearly see this when he dances with Madam Thing? from Beau Batons. The other school is Durmstrang, which is more German/Russian.

Yes, it's Alastor Moody. Who, sad to say, isn't actually in the scene. He spends the whole year imprisoned in a large box by the the Death Eater Barty Crouch who is manipulating the contest so Harry will end up meeting Voldemort in the end.
While Moody does have what I would call a lowlands/border accent and manner, the more highland character is assistant head Minerva McGonagall (played in the movie by Maggie Smith)....she does appear in a plaid bathrobe at one point....next time I see the movie I'll have to figure out what tartan.
While Hogwarts is somewhere in the Highlands and there are a couple of scenic shots used in the movie (Loch Finn??), there's not much highland culture involved.

There are short, quick cameo shots of someone in a kilt in all the Harry Potter movies. Usually during a street scene, or where there are a lot of people in the shot, someone with a kilt walks through.
Then you get to the last movie check for Dumbledors' brother.

Bear in mind that Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and therefore also the neighbouring village of Hogsmeade, are supposed to be IN SCOTLAND, LOL!
The only kilted character I could think of was Professor Dumbledore's brother Aberforth, who is the village innkeeper. I had forgotten about Alastor Moody at the ball, although now I remember, and I hadn't noticed kilted extras atall, so I must not be too observant.
