The Frugal Corner: dead?
Hi, guys: anyone out there know if Mark Wright and The Frugal Corner are still in business? He's stiffed my out of a few hundred bucks. No answer to any phone calls or emails.

I'm guessing so as he also stiffed me. None of the contact info is still valid, and I've contacted the better business bureau and filed against him.

I think he took his Facebook page down as well as his normal site, but his personal Facebook page still shows him alive and well:

Too bad... Not only am I out some $, but I really liked their products. They were great entry level kilts, good quality for money. A shame.

Has anyone challenged the charges to their credit card?

*** to Rocky's suggestion.
I made a recent challenge against a transaction. Made the payment through paypal. Since it was past paypal's deadline to challenge the payment I called the credit card company, provided them with the communications and got my money back in minutes.

That is unfortunate. I won a Frugal Corner tartan design contest a few years ago and they registered, then produced my New World Irish tartan. There are plenty of generic Irish tartans around and they wanted a variation on the typical green, orange, and white, so I doubt anyone else is going to start weaving it. I've got two of their acrylic kilts in my tartan... I guess they're going to be collector's items

Colin, that is a very nice looking tartan. I have some Irish blood in me as well my Scots blood and would love to have a kilt in your tartan. Maybe Mac or Rocky could see about getting a mill to weave it. As nice as it is it would be a shame to have it go by the wayside.

I have one of Colin's designs, also, from Frugal Corner. Definitely gonna be a collectors item now. But I do like the idea of, possibly, having Rocky check into having a mill produce this in quantity. I'd be interested!
As for Frugal corner itself, well, they were okay for low-end, entry level attire and accessories but, to be honest, I though most of their stuff was C-R-A-P! Just my two cents worth.

Sad. Its for sure not the first time around here.
Sometimes these guys surface again in a year or so trying to make another run at things - or net some more fish. You can jump them then.
Just one more reason to stick with the long established vendors and be super cautious with the new, full-of-promises, have-I-got-a-deal-for-you, vendors.
