    With your kind indulgence

I have another offering for a new round of "what's that tartan"?

CGR and I found a kilt at a local thrift store and snapped it up. It's 100% wool, label inside reads "The Scotch House" and it has specific instruction to dry clean only. Seeing as it actually fits our very thin son, we'd like to know the tartan.

I believe MacLowlife is correct. Both the Tartan Register and the Tartan Authority index this tartan as ITI#514 (MacHardy Black) and reproduce this sett. House of tartan does index the tartan with the correct ITI, but reproduce the sett incorrectly - white stripes off-center. OC Richard, M.A.C. Newsome & Figheadair (with a nod to RockyR) - they're the real experts in this area, in so much as they have access to such resources. That being said, I happen to believe MacLowlife is spot on.

Whether he is a blind hog or a blind squirrel, I am sure everyone is familiar with the idea that somebody will eventually find the acorn...
