lovely vintage buckle from Ebay

As many Xmarkers know, I'm a person for vintage things. My pipes were made c1900 and my usual sporran has a wonderful vintage cantle



Well I've been checking Ebay regularly for some sort of vintage buckle that would sort of go with it, not necessarily the same pattern but with a similar vintage look.

This one came up a while ago, but it was sterling silver and far too pricey!



So I kept looking, and I just got this one... actually I won the auction but haven't received the buckle yet



and here is a similar one being worn back when it was new

Very nice, I like that the subtle change to the direction of the longer side of the buckle. Gives it a more unique look without screaming for attention.
