Dressed up for the Robert Burns Supper in Albany NY
Before I even got dressed, I set the dslr up on the tripod to take pics in front of the woodstove before we left. Our 35 year old son was in charge of the dslr remote control, and I guess he didn't know what he was doing, because none of the pics showed up on the camera when I went to download them this morning, other than 2 I had quickly snapped of the wee lassie just before leaving. So here she is in her new USA Kilts Forrester tartan kilt. More to come next time I get kilted up!
By the way, there were only 1/4 to 1/3 of the lads in kilts, and not many younger fellows at all. Dress ranged from a kilt with no belt worn with a white shirt and no tie to a couple guys with black tie formal kilt outfits on. I felt quite smartly dressed and got a number of compliments, particularly on the tweed jacket Victoria Mackenzie converted for me (Thanks VMac!).
