Lovatt blue question
In your humble but well appreciated opinions, would a lovatt blue jacket look wrong with a Lamont Modern kilt??

Color matching is a largely American perspective on TCHD. If you like a Lovat blue jacket, get it and wear it regardless of whether it matches your kilt.

Depending on the shade of blue in the jacket (as well as the tartan), it might look a wee bit better with the Lamont Ancient, but I suspect it will look fine with the Modern as well. Post pics when you get a chance.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Definately so David.
I have blue/green and red based kilts and wear charcoal, green (one with an overcheck), brown checks and light grey jackets with, and with out waistcoats

It would look just fine. If you want to pair it up with a pair of lovat blue kilt hose, all the better. But regardless, it would look just great.

Short answer: no.

I agree it would look fine. But while I used to think it was great to coordinate the hose colour with the jacket, I strongly avoid this now!
