Harpenden Highland Gathering - 2013
I have received confirmation today that we are booked into the Harpenden Highland Gathering on Sunday the 14th July 2013.
HG13 - SCT01 - means we were the first to book.
I will, of course, have the usual tent as a meeting point. Red marquee with two flagpoles out the front flying two Saltires.
More information as it becomes available.
Regards
Chas

Excellent! The wife and kids were asking about it just the other day. Will put in in my PDA so I know not to book anything else for that day.

My return flight from Edinburgh to Luton is already booked together with an overnight in The Silver Cup right next to Rothamsted Park. I have been to four of the past six Harpenden Gatherings and it is a great day out, was really sorry to have to miss it last year.
Looking forward to seeing you all again this year and hopefully some more new faces too.

I keep meaning to go and every year I never get round to it. I'll have to see how funds look at the end of the month so I can go this year.

Jordan, in addition to the kilted companionship, the event relies heavily on 795 (Harpenden) Squadron Air Training Corps who camp in the park over the weekend to provide overnight security for the stalls. They also have a stand at the Games where they give demonstrations of their activities. Bring your RAF kilt and I am sure they will very much appreciate a visit from you. In view of your own involvement with an ATC squadron, they might even let you camp with them!

Thanks for that Alex, its unlikely they would want my help but if I make it down I will probably pop in and say hi.
