Kilt night or gatherings in the Portland area??

I'm so totally new to kilts and the wearing if them that a gathering locally would be delightful!! Other than the Highland games in July and the St Patrick's Day fun at Kells coming up, where else can one find other kilt wearers meeting up?? Any ideas are appreciated!!

Hello scotswelshrunner, if you would like to share an ale or anything like that just let me know, tend to done one of my kilts as much as I can, but usually is on long weekends (Thursday-Sunday) and for the PTFC games. If you are ever in the area (NW Portland) please do let me know, also there is at least one couple that I know that are in the Vancouver WA area that are also on xmarksthescot.
Having said that it looks like we will have nice & sunny Saturday + Timbers are playing so if you are interested let me know.

Considering the huge number of kilts hanging in closets around Portland I've always been amazed at how seldom I see another Kiltie in the wild. I have a couple of thoughts on why that is but I'll keep that to myself for now. I'm up for trying to get a kilt night going though and we certainly have some good potential spots to choose from.

I haven't had a birthday pub crawl at the Deschutes brewery, but now that you mention it I might have to suggest it to my wife! To the best of my knowledge I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you in person yet but I look forward to the occasion.

I'd love to see a kilted gathering in the Portland area!! Whether a pub or event, count me in. Hope to meet both of you soon in town. The girls and I make it to town quite often and lobe the McMenamins pubs. Not too much into Timbers games due to the cost but happy to meet any local kilt wearers. We should find out who in the forum lives around here and get something going.

April 6 is National Tartan Day. We might think about getting together at the Rose & Thistle Pub at 2314 NE Broadway in Portland. Late afternoon would work best for me...around 4 PM. The pub has a Scottish theme and good brew. Any of you men up for that? Davey G

Yeah I know that place, had some food once and not bad for a pub grab.
I like idea of meeting on Tartan Day.....know for sure thatPaddy's Pub(65 SW Yamhill Street in Portland) had something for a National Tartan Day and also a brew fest is happening on the same day

Not sure if we will do any of this, my lady friend has birthday on the same date so we will do small pub crawl in sw-nw pdx.... anyway would like to meetup with rest of the crew if we can do something.
