Hello, new member from Tucson.
I wanted to take a minute and say hello from Tucson. I've been wanting to get a kilt for a number of years but now actually have need for one ... joining the Knights of St Andrews as part of my Scottish Rite Masonry journey.
Ended up starting out with a SWK Standard in Black Watch and a USA Kilts Casual in Lindsay (the closest that they offer to Crawford but Crawford is considered by some to be a Lindsay sept). Both seem to have good reviews, both are quite nice to talk to on the 'phone and until I get my bagpipe playing back in order (it's been about 30 yrs, I'd say), I'd probably not have need for an expensive wool one as a starter.
Plus, Tucson is on the warmer side.
That said, I am glad I found the forum and look forward to learning more .. and contributing if I have anything worthwile to add.
Kind regards,
Rod Wagoner
