How about this ensemble?
I'm planning to take my girlfriend to a celtic music concert in a soft seat theatre next week wearing this. What do you think?

As handsome as you look and as elegantly dressed, she may think you are going to propose. My advice is to have a ring, or a good excuse, ready.
Your hose are very nice. They appear to be black with red tops and garters. What kind are they? Also, your hose, kilt, tie, and balmoral are nicely integrated with your coat, vest, and tie. Well done.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I think she should be pleased and proud to be seen with you!

I think you have a black leather sporran? If you have, then wear that and unless the weather is against you leave the bonnet at home. Lastly and most importantly, raise the kilt to "top of knee cap" height.

It works for me Nathan. The sporran is a tad ornate for day wear and you will of course remove the bonnet when indoors. Enjoy the concert, the soft seats and the company!

The hose are navy blue and the red are hand knit cuffs. I don't remember the name brand of the hose, I've had them for years.

The concert is at night so I stepped it up a little regarding the sporran. Isn't that the time when you'd wear a semi-dress? Just trying to find the right place to wear this sporran as I'm rather fond of it.

If you want to wear that particular sporran then do so.
However just so you know this "semi-dress" thing is really not helpful as it really ends up as too much for one event and not enough for another and that situation stands out a mile in neon lights for whichever guise it is used in. If it were me, and it is quite obvious that it is not, I would retire, permanently, the semi dress sporran and wear the black leather one for all events other than formal evening events. It does then, make your dressing options so much simpler.

That's the thing about these "semi-dress" sporrans. They are really neither fish nor foul, so it can be hard to find the right occasion to wear them. But I suppose an evening concert such as you are attending is about as close an opportunity as you will find. It might look a little more congruous with the outfit if you were wearing a black barathea Argyle jacket rather than the grey one in the photo. But we are just picking at nits at this stage...
