St.Pat's Eve at the Renfaire
OK, bit of a story;
My plans for last weekend were to be in the Houston parade on Saturday and then hit a couple of the big parties on Sunday, take a lot of photos etc...
But a good friend of mine in both the renfaire and mundane world passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening, and I made the call to skip the parade this year and head up to Sherwood faire Saturday morning to see some of our 'faire-family'. It was a nice day, but honestly the emotion and passion that I love about my rennie friends can also be a little overwhelming when there's a death in the family, I got a little emotionally fatigued after a while. I escaped some of it by spending a lot of the day showing the faire to my friend Niki from New Orleans who was visiting Sherwood for the first time. I also helped out with a photo shoot one of the faire photogs wanted to do with her.
Anyway, here's some photos, sorry if they are not up to my 'usual standard';

As far as my actual St.Patrick's day Sunday; I woke up tired, my Dad and I went to our local at lunchtime for food and a few beers, and left before it got interesting enough for photos.

Niki has great garb. Sorry to hear of your friends passing.
