For the Proud but homesick son of Skye
Work took me to Skye this week. Its a terrible job, I do it so you don't have to . The scenery was stunning, so I thought I'd take some pictures to post for Laird M/Martin. I saw my 1st Golden Eagles too.
This was the view for outside my hotel room window

David: Tough life. I really feel sorry for you. You certainly got a room with a view. Thanks for posting those dramatic pictures. I only see a couple trees. Are there forested regions on Skye?
John
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

How awful for you David my heart bleeds. Any time you want to unburden yourself of that terrible place let me know and I will swap you. Great pics by the way.

You could sing as does the song, "The far Cuillins are putting love on me..."

I think there are a couple of forestry plantations on the island, I'm pretty sure the Glen Brittle area has some.

Looks like a good business trip.
Back in the nineteen eighties my work often took me to Campbeltown and Islay, to Oban and Mull, and less frequently to islands such as Gigha, Kerrera and Tiree. I would have been happy to stay in the same job till retirement, but unfortunately re-structuring came along.
