Hi Chris .... Just to let you know a Welsh Whiskey was launched on St Davids Day.
Its a single malt called 'Penderyn' ... the name taken from the village where it is made in the brecon beacons national park. If you want me to find out some more about it let me know. I could'nt find much about it on the net, but I'll call in an off licience and check it out.

I too would have to go with Oban. The Islay malts are nice, but I find that they sometimes have too much going on. I'm relatively new to scotch, so this may be accredited to my lack of experience

Hey Derrick, that's interesting. I wouldn't mind hearing some more info!
I like Oban too.
I love MacCallans.
I ADORE Lagavullin.
Anybody tried Dalwhinnie? It's quite
good but it's on the other end of the
scale taste-wise from Lagavullin. It's
very crisp. Pairs really nicely with cut
green apples slices and some really good
cheese of some sort....and a nice cigar always!
