Hi Chris,
My avatar is the 3 legs symbol of the Isle of Man.
This is the crest.
The legend under the three legged symbol means "Whichever way you throw it, it will stand".
From my own life I can tell you that apparently those of Manx descent have a tendency to survive virtually anything... whether we really want to or not!

I haven't dug as deeply as I'd like to on this, but the only ones I've found so far are the "Laxey Manx National tartan".

And there's also "Manx Hunting" tartan:
Just found this one today!
If I had a custom kilt made, it would likely be the Laxey tartan.

I did a litle digging (I'm always interested in non-Scottish Celtic tartans). There are apparently 10 different Manx tartans. Check out this link:
