Xmarks photo op at Embro Highland games.
Lets meet at the Rkilts vending tent at 12:30 PM just prior to the opening ceremonies at 1:00 PM. Take a quick shot, then you can view all the events.
Mudmen will be doing a teaser set at 4:00 PM mass bands at 6:00 you can join me for a wee dram before I pack up.
Mudmen will play till 8
Looks like it will be a stellar day.

I may be interested in trying to make this but given the fact that it's July 1st do you know if there will be any Canada Day fireworks or festivities handy Embro? I'm happy to celebrate my Scottish heritage all year long, but I have to find time on July 1st to represent the Maple Leaf...

Other years I've seen all sorts of fireworks all around us on the trip home.
My informant says that the opening is at 12:30 and my dear friend Wilson McBeath is to do the honours. I really want to see that. What if we met at R-Kilts at 12:00 in time for picture and a decent seat on the bleachers?

Nathan just up the road in Stratford will be a parade and fireworks around 9:30 I believe

Sorry Lads, I start vacation after worship this morning and immediately head for the East Coast. Breaks my heart that many of you will be in Embro and I won't have the chance to meet and greet. Enjoy the day.
Nathan Robert is right there is an excellent fireworks display in Stratford. It will probably start closer to 10 if past years are any indication. But for a smaller city Stratford puts on a good display, and like many small towns you are right under the fireworks so they really are impressive. (not like some larger cities where they are let off on Islands or barges far off.)
