    Way, way off topic.

I am so bursting to share this with someone.

When I got back from Kilt Kamp I was lucky enough to score this --------

I've now had the keys for three days.

    A 1992 Jaguar XJS V-12 Convertible.

It is hard to believe this car is 21 years old.

The v-12 engine is so smooth. And so fast it can scare you. Turns like it is glued to the road.

Leather interior. Power everything including convertible top, windows, mirrors, seats (with heat) A/C. It even has the CD/Cassette player with the 6 disc changer in the trunk.

Beautiful car Steve and I'm green with envy. I can only see one problem, the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car.

Some people who worry about a steering wheel have their priorities all wrong. My wife has been traveling for her job and hasn't even seen this car yet.

You want to worry? Try buying a car without the approval of SWMBO.

Shiny. Should you succumb to the wrath of SWMBO, would you please be so kind as to leave it to me in your will?

My wife knows that I bought the car. She was the one who had to transfer the money from savings over to checking. She has just never actually seen it. In fact she skyped me a few moments ago and asked. "Are those photos of the actual car?"

A beautiful ride for sure - and well earned. BUT....it needs new plates. Vanity plates. Something about kilts....

    Absolutely gorgeous !

If your wife gets upset about the Jag purchase , tell her something like this :

" Well , if you're not happy about the car purchase ... you're really not going to like what I'm going to do next ... the leather seat covers are getting replaced with XMarks tartan . "
