Ronan: Are the kilts sewn from medium-weight or heavy-weight wool? Are they sewn from Lochcarron cloth? Thanks.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I e-mailed, then called Ronan yesterday about their Black Watch kilts.... and ORDERED one in my size! Said he was going to put it in the mail for me this morning! Hoping these rental-stock are not too worn, want this to be my "casual" kilt. Looking at getting some brown-leather accessories for it now (will wait to see how it looks with what I already have first). 8-yard, hand-sewn, 16 oz, Locharron wool, pleated to sett. It's 24" length, and I usually wear a 23", so I may have it hemmed up, or just wear it higher. Less than HALF the cost of a new one of this quality! Exciting!

I called Saturday and ordered a clearance sale Prince Charlie jacket with vest. The folks at the Gift Shop were very helpful, as always. The box came in the mail today and the jacket and vest fit perfectly and look great! I can't wait to wear this to our St. Andrew's Day dance next month! THANKS!

There are only 4 jackets at the moment. They are your standard Prince Charlie jacket. Pictures of the kilt are on our specials page. http://giftshop.scottishtartans.org/specials.html
