Enjoyed the pics. My style of casual kilt outfit too!

Wow, what a great collection. Would love to fly that RCAF Texan/Harvard!

Wait, isn't that "zero" referenced above really an AT-6 Texan painted red Canadian?

There is a Zero in the pics that looks like the real mccoy, and not a T-6 with cosmetic work like in "Tora Tora Tora", in the seventh photo. There's the tail from a Mustang, Griffon-engined Spitfire, Zero, and an F8F Bearcat. You can see a little more of the Zero in the closeup of the later-model Spitfire, and in the same photo, the yellow spinner on a Hawker Sea-Fury... The jets that AREN'T the MiG-21 in Czech colors are L-39 Delfins. I'm pretty sure the canopy you can see beyond the Rolls-Royce powered Spitfire is also an AT-6... That red Texan in Canadian colors is really gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your photos!
And thanks to everyone else for tolerating the aero-geek tourettes moment!

Thanks for sharing your photos, Rich. I like seeing old planes like that but, I bet the races were exciting to watch as well. Looks like you had a great time there; you were certainly dressed perfect for the day. Lookin' good, Rich.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. It looks like it to me. There were four of them that appeared in the movie PT-109.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
