Maiden Voyage - Balmoral Doublet

I had the opportunity to wear my bottle green Barrathea wool Balmoral doublet for the first time outside the house this past weekend at the black tie banquet portion of the Clan Donald Canada AGM.

You can't see in the photo, but I'm also wearing claret and bottle green diced hose and buckled loafers. It was a great weekend.

I purchased it from CmcG and feel good about the buy. Tartan Tess swapped me the buttons.

It was a conversation starter as everyone else was in Argylls and Prince Charlies. They also looked very smartly turned out, but I enjoyed evoking HRH the Duke of Rothsay and being a little different.

Looking sharp there Nathan I'm glad that doublet went to a good home because it was just a pinch too small for me.
