Interesting Photo
I came across this today, very interesting story and the one photo shows a couple of kilted gentlemen.

Nice story.
I see the doctor's piper is wearing an Argyle day wear jacket and waistcoat with buckle brogues and what appears to be tartan hose. The doctor is also wearing an Argyle jacket and waistcoat, tartan hose, and a standard pair of brogues. Not sure about the doctor's sporran. Looks like it has a flap like a drover sporran.

That was a fun read, thanks for posting! I've shared the link with two sisters who currently (with hubbies) do their traveling in 5th-wheels.

Thanks for the link. My wife and I are currently traveling in our 2008 21' Gulf Stream Amerilite travel trailer. The coach in the article makes our unit appear shabby by comparison but we will survive. Again, thanks for posting, it was a fun read.

My grandpa is 92 and has been in the Airstream (Wally Byam Caravan Club) for as long as I Can remember (more than 40 years for sure). Last year he sold his 34' Excella because it was just too much work hooking it up to the truck and grandma isn't around to help any more.
And then he bought a new Airstream motor home. Because not hooking up the trailer is no reason to not go to the rallies.
I'm gonna show him these pics though - I bet he'd love that beautiful RV!

Looks like a full mask sporran to me. I also find the kilt pin and sgian dubh interesting, considering the date of the photo. Not sure what to say about the doctor's hat, though!

Very cool pics and story. I am rather fond of old things...buildings, tools, boats etc, etc. This fits right in with those. Thanks for posting it.

I agree with you on the kilt pin and sgian dubh. I've always thought those were from a later time.
The doctor's hat looks like the "newsie hat" the news boys in New York City wore.
The piper's kilt pin seems a bit strange to me. The apron looks like it's folded back behind him.
