    Christmas Gift for my Son

I haven't yet been able to get my son kilted, but he really enjoys Highland Games and Ren Faires. The last few he has been ogling bracers at several booths, but were not quite what he wanted. So Christmas morning he will find these beauties under the tree. I cannot begin to express how pleased I am with the quality and artistry displayed in these bracers. I know my son will be thrilled. Working with Donnie has been a pleasure as well. Now I just need to convince the wife I have been a good enough boy to warrant one of Donnie's incredible sporrans.

    Tomak,

That's wonderful leatherwork. I'm sure your son will be pleased.

Very nice indeed and just the sort of thing I'd have loved when I used to do re-enactment.
I'm sure he'll be very happy with them.

I hate to be greedy but might you be inclined to post up a pic of the back side too? I want to make my daughter something similar and am waffling on what type of connectors to use. Donnie at Wyvern (and Scott/Artificer) are such inspirations I learn something new every time I see even just a picture of their work.

Congrats to you and your son on such a fine Christmas present!

OK. I have to ask, what are they, they are worn somewhere I presume------yes, yes, I know that they are "bracers" apparently---- and just what are they used for? I hope that you don't mind me asking.
