This past holiday we were at my son's place in western NY for a few days. I get a bit of complaint around the house for my archaic Scot speak, but never pay any mind. Basically, it came from reading a historic novel series called the Outlander. It may have been the first day we were at the kids place, and saw our 2-1/2 year old grandson. I went Och! Aye! and he laughed and repeated it really pretty well, intonation and all. That kept up for the next few days, and we all (including my grandson) got a great kick out of it! Frank
