    Do any of the rabble know the vendor "Celtique Creations"?

    http://www.celtiquecreations.com/

    They seem to be located near Saint Paul, MN.

    Why do I ask? Because I really like their Rob Roy sporrans, their prices are reasonable, and I'm in "conversation" via e-mail about getting a custom, super-simple one made...

    This is the first I've heard of them, but it looks like they have some nice products for reasonable prices. Thanks for the link, and if you get the sporran from them, report back to us with pictures.

    They attend one of the local Highland Games and I got to meet and have a beer with John (their sporran maker) last year.
    Lovely bunch of people and very nice looking products.

    You might want to know that the respondant to my e-mail reported that their sporran-maker had just gotten out of heart surgery, so if you're "friends" with John, you might drop him a line.

    I have heard back from them and I'm impressed. E-mail exchanges take several days, even a week but they do get back to me. They've actually "cleared" the color choices in the leather with me by sending along some pictures. Ditto for lacing choices.

    It's been a long time since I've had a Kilt Jones, but this is going to turn into a Sporran Jones here, really soon. There will be pictures, when it arrives....

    Sporran Jones...wasn't he the bass player in that 1980's rock group...?

    This morning, this all seems so utterly trivial, inconsequential and downright stupid. It's a stupid leather bag, for heavens sake.

    Hmm. We shall see.

    ==================

    Re-re-edit in the mid-afternoon.... Well, it is "just" a leather bag, but as you can see from the pictures, it's an awfully nice leather bag!

    It has been brought to my attention there are now pictures. Took me a while to find the thread; computers definitely not a strong suit
    here.

    Great pictures, very nice. Yes, simple, that's almost always a good thing. Looks to be well done, also. Action pics when in hand to
    show it in proportion with your own fine self.
