Newcastle and Johnnie Walker
Newcastle and Black Label.
I am doing some celebrating related to a series personal epiphanies and a bit of a self - awakening.
I have decided to finish my degree after some time off.
Johnnie Walker Black Label and a Newcastle. Always appropriate.
Thoughts on these two fantastic beverages?
Cheers to my mates (both real and virtual)

I've always enjoyed Newcastle, but I'm more of a Jameson 12 year old drinker myself. Enjoy

Congratulations, Bren. Finish in your own time and, in the meanwhile, enjoy The 'Castle. But can't you find a better than Black Label where you are?

Sadly, Rex, even Black Label was stretching it for the real thing. I was in an out of the way place watching a friend play some music. Purely for fun.
Thank you for the well - wishes, my friend.

I was amazed to see that Newcastle Brown Ale seemed to be a popular brand in San Francisco whereas it is now quite niche in the UK (maybe not in Newcastle). Never my tipple but a quality product.
Black Label is very nice but seems to be as expensive as many good single malts.

I used to enjoy Newcastle a lot more often. These days, I tend to stick with whatever is locally brewed in my area--since I move every couple years or so, I always have plenty of new variety to work with.
I've never had Black Label...but I'm sure you were able to sufficiently enjoy yourself!
Good luck returning to school!

I favour a Newcastle, but JW is never my tipple.

Congratulations on your decision to go back to school and good luck! I've never had Newcastle and was always a Dewar's drinker before I discovered the miracle of single malt. int:
