    Kilt pin Keeper

    Hi all,
I wrote some time ago about the loss of the kilt pin I had.
Happy to say the new one arrived from Hector Russell yesterday (No thanks to the Norwegian Customs They kept it for nearly a week!!).
I wanted to try the hot glue method as mentioned earlier here in the forum. The Wife( That all seeing all knowing being. Love her to bits !!!!)Showed me another way which is dead simple. All done with a piece of wide elastic band. Not having my own website I've put a picture into my gallery.
    Try it. It works. 8)

    Freelander,

Sometimes the simplest always escapes our thoughts.

Your wife sounds incredible, but you already said that.

Sorry, but I don't get it. Does the elastic keep the pin from pulling out of the kilt when it comes unlatched?

You understand that Norwegian Custams has to make sure it's not some sort of weapon of mass destruction.

The elastic is a clever idea! Patent it quick - before someone enterprising guy from Hong Kong does.

It's an 8 yard Modern Gunn wool kilt from Hector Russell in Inverness.

I'm not a Gunn ,my surname is One of the clan Sept's. When looking for a Tartan I fell in love with this one. I waited 12 weeks for it It's my favorite pice of clothing that I own.

Thanks to this site I don't just wear it on High days and Holidays any more. I've begun to go casual as well now.I also Have a "Bear" 8 yarder in Hunting Maclean on Order.
Can't wait....Thank-you for asking by the way

    Freelander,

Glad to hear that you are wearing your kilt more and more and yet have another on order.

I find the kilt the perfect accesory of my personality. What a joy!!

You are absolutely right there Blu. Remember all those Scottish Armies during the Middle Ages, who went into battle armed with deadly kilt pins.
