Last of "The Two Fat Ladies" gone

Im a big fan of "The Two Fat Ladies" cooking shows and the solo shows done by Clarissa Dickson Wright. Seems Clarissa has passed away at a young 66. Jennifer and I have been watching all her antics with Jennifer Paterson as the rode and cooked their way around the UK, always on a Triump with side car. Ill have to have a toast to Clarissa, she was quite in favor of the small local farms and markets. Here is the BBC article.

Theirs was one of the first cooking shows I ever watched regularly - Seems like many years since it's been on here - I know I watched the same episodes over and over because they were just so much fun. I never saw Clarissa's solo show - didn't even know she had one but I am glad to find out she carried on after Jennifer died. Cheers to the two Fat Ladies - may they ride again somewhere on the other side.

    Sad to here of this.

I have fond memories of the fun they had with coq au vin. I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

Clarissa was the youngest woman called to the bar according to her autobiography so was a legal milestone besides her other achievements.

She knew a lot about country life and political correctness never affected her. A real character whose like we shall likely not see again.
