Gents,

While I'm not new here, I have yet to post a question to the rabble. I've found so much valuable information in past posts I haven't had the need to post but I have finally run into a curious question of sorts that I need some opinion on.

I am currently training for a Tough Mudder run that is scheduled for this fall and I intend to be kilted whilst I compete. For those of you who don't know what a Tough Mudder is, consider it a cross country race with an obstacle course thrown in. The obstacles include running, slogging and crawling through very wet, cold, sticky mud. By the end of the race everyone is soaked through and caked with mud. It sounds crazy but it's actually quite fun.

My conundrum is what type of kilt to wear during the run? I obviously want something fairly light that will not retain much moisture. I currently have a few utility style kilts that are produced of duct type cloth that gets fairly heavy when wet. I also have a Casual Kilt from Rocky that I absolutely love and do not wish to ruin so I'm looking for something new.

So keeping in mind that the kilt may be ruined after the event what recommendations do you all have? My thoughts trend to a Sportskilt or a 5.11 TDK but I've never owned either so I don't know what to expect. I'm certainly open to all and any ideas you all may have!

Thanks,
Jay
