Carey Newman (son of the cousin whom I stayed with last time I was on The Island) has created a "Witness Blanket" of artefacts from the Indian Residential Schools, which has this week been unveiled in the University of Victoria.
Carey's father's family are First Nations people while his mother shares my Scots/Irish ancestry.
